About Me

Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to gain real industry experience across a range of environments. As a Software Engineering Intern at Erie Insurance Group, I worked on an Agile Enterprise Engineering team modernizing legacy systems, spanning everything from migrating a PHP reporting system to a distributed .NET backend, to refactoring frontends from Angular to React/TypeScript, to building REST APIs supporting hundreds of employees across the enterprise.

Beyond my internship, I was awarded a research grant to study machine learning applications in acoustic signal processing, work that culminated in presenting a research paper at the SEET 2025 Conference in Long Beach, CA.

On the project side, I began learning backend development and containerization with a school project, BitBop, which was a full-stack news aggregation platform featuring NYT-style games and AI-driven article insights. My Senior Design Capstone pushed me further into AI systems, where I engineered a locally deployed, domain-specialized system for research faculty complete with RAG, tool calling, and open-source model benchmarking. This taught me a lot about LoRA fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, and tool-calling.

My toolkit spans Python, C#, TypeScript, React, .NET, PostgreSQL, TensorFlow, and more. I’m drawn to problems at dealing with systems design and intelligent software, whether that’s fine-tuning a language model, designing a clean API, or prototyping a user-friendly UI/UX experience in Figma.
